CITIES - sculptures and land art

Zaanstad

When the populist politician, Rudolf Lourens (Ruud) Vreeman became the mayor of Zaanstad, he decided he didn't like this sculpture and used it in his new years speech and promised a small group of people who had been protesting against victory that he would make it his crusade to have it removed during his rule of the town. He then became mayor of Tilburg where he himself was removed after withholding vital information from the city council.
