CITIES - sculptures and land art

Terneuzen

Terneuzen - Zeeuws Vlaanderen NL - his site specific sculptures ordered for the city of Terneuzen in Zeeland
constructivist sign and pollard willows ellipse - 1980|1984 - aluminum and Trespa - willows (Salix Alba) - GAB Terneuzen NL

The sign has been constructed as an aluminum-pipe prism with two Trespa faces with silk screened dark gray text. I searched for typography which would evoke texts the first decades of the twentieth century. I studied that of Theo van Doesburg during his DE STIJL initiatives as well as Paul Renner's futura and decided to only be inspired and construct my own.
