CITIES - sculptures and land art

The elliptical segments of the red construction are connected to the four by four meter square steel plate in such a way that their combined contour forms a three dimensional curve in space. The thickness of the steel plates - of four centimeters - gives the sculpture enough material volume to rise above a mere enlargement of a paper cut-out.

Farel - 1988|1990 parallel rows of Italian poplar trees and steel elements - the red construction is the starting point of the floor piece around which the layout pivots - 40mm painted steel - 500x500x150cm - Farel School - NL
