Papendrecht
The sculpture seems to occupy the river bank on a spot that pleased it. It oversees the old center of Dordrecht and the rest of the sculpture park (Beeldenpark Drechtoevers in Dutch) on the opposite side of the River Noord which runs towards the city of Rotterdam. To the left of the sculpture, the River Beneden Merwede points the cargo ships towards the German Ruhr Area and beyond that Basel, Switzerland.
