Hardinxveld/Giessendam
Every three years the new branches are cut. In this picture the pruned trees seem to scour the wintry sky. The windmill in the distance completes this typical Holland landscape; only a few kilometers to the west lies Kinderdijk. Mills and pollard willows are the most common objects in the Alblasserwaard - as this part of Holland is called.
