CITIES - sculptures and land art

Forum Konkrete Kunst, Erfurt Peterskirche

Perpendicular Cylinders II, which was my first really concrete work, resulted in the process of making another work: extorus. This was actually an interim stage; but I was so fascinated by its stark geometry that I decided to save this phase and get another cube to continue the intended sculpture past this point. Concrete art (Konkrete Kunst) has no other significance than itself. I did not set out to create this sculpture - it presented itself to me and I am happy that I recognized that. A new path in my art was opened.
