Arch a sculpture near Rotterdam in old Rhoon

"Arch" a sculpture near Rotterdam in old Rhoon (Albrandswaard).
The five parts, from which the sculpture was to be assembled, in storage at the Schokindustrie plant in Zwijndrecht, Holland.

After hearing from Stroom Art Center that the sculpture would be handed over to me I started looking for possible locations to have it installed permanently. I also put a page offering this sculpture to anyone interested in installing it on this site and indeed there were various interested parties - most of which were in the United States. The transport costs got in the way. The advisory committee for the arts in Albrandswaard/Rhoon were initiating various public art projects and seemed to be very interested.

There was one location near the neighboring town of Poortugaal, which had fused with Rhoon to form the new municipality of Albrandswaard. Here at the beginning of the Schroeder van der Kolklaan, a country road ....
