Dordrecht

In 1972 the Dordrecht Metropolitan Museum organized the exhibition ten young Dordrecht artists - painters and sculptors. Being one of them Lucien den Arend proposed to plant 24 willow branches in a circular form as a growing sculpture.

pollarded circle - 1972 - willows (Salix Alba) and white latex - Ø400 cm -  Dordrecht Municipal Museum NL (destroyed by the museum in 1978)
