Dordrecht
The plan was to have willows, making up the circle,
grow together, slowly making the interior inaccessible. They did grow in the
years after 1972 but they never matured - after six years the museum
phoned Lucien den Arend one day that they had them cut down the previous day -
the nwe garden plan designed by designer Walter Nikkels had take effect.
The series of photographs shown here were the only ones taken (summer and fall
1972). After this the museum offered the sculptor funds to reinstall the project
on one of four possible locations in Dubbeldam,
a neighboring town.
