Apeldoorn

Like in many other linear works by Lucien den Arend, the shadow of this work adds a extra dimension. Shadows are projections of the sculpture's geometric construction and are actually works in themselves.

As the school was one of the first projects which were built in the Gilde housing area, there was much open space around the school - quite in contrast to the present situation.
